WisToolBox is a free application that streamlines configuration of RAKwireless edge devices
Many IoT products carry the claim of being built for the end user without requiring deep technical knowledge. When speaking to customers and other practitioners, we realized that there were still pain points when it came to configuring hardware. WisToolBox replaces tedious and error-prone sequences of AT commands with a solution that requires no coding at all.
WisToolBox provides a suite of tools for RAK end devices. These tools can be used to configure, update, and program IoT hardware from your desktop or smartphone. This software reduces the barriers to entry for less experienced users while allowing professionals to manage their deployments more diligently.

Configure Devices
The WisToolBox app is a graphical control panel from which you can connect with and configure RAK devices. The mobile and desktop versions provide the same features. The main difference being that the desktop version connects to devices using USB while the mobile version connects with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

Built in Interactive Terminal
While devices can be configured from WisToolBox without the need for writing your own code or AT commands, it has an interactive terminal built in. This can be used to execute AT commands from the provided command library or commands typed in by the user.

The mobile version of the app opens the possibility for making changes while on-the-go or from wherever end devices may be deployed. All that is required to configure compatible devices is the app and a BLE connection. The app is available for both Android and iOS.

Start Using WisToolBox!
WisToolBox can be used to manage all RAK IoT end devices that are compatible with RUI3.
RAKwireless Unified Interface (RUI3) allows users to develop and compile custom firmware across the entire suite of RAK products. This firmware can be distributed to end devices using WisToolBox.
